The add-in is used to export BIM geometry for use in the online platform as lightweight, web-compatible geometry for creating a highly interactive user experience, as well as looping back to Revit to generate the same house, or even blocks at a time, based on the end consumer’s wishes and demands. If you are going to do this then I would highly recommend getting some formal Autodesk family creation training from an Autodesk Training Provider. We can all build a bookshelf but can we build pipe fittings with varying angles and pipe sizes? Maybe not Oh and it would be a good idea they are similar/the same as you wish to be built. Ask them to show you examples and explain how and why they built them the way they did. I personally would recommend checking their experience, skills and knowledge building Revit content families. Pay someone or do it yourselfĪlso lets not forget you can pay someone to create your bespoke families for you. Now this is not to say many are not just want you said it was.
